Janet Marie Hunt Johnson, 68, of Jeffersonville, died Monday, March 17, 2025, at her residence.
Born March 30, 1956, in Oregon, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Earl and Bonnie May Hunt. She owned Johnson Realty in Wisconsin. After retiring and selling her realty company, she moved to Kentucky to manage the family farm and be a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Rickey Johnson of Jeffersonville; daughters, Tina Johnson of Jeffersonville, Tammy Johnson of Kenosha, Wis., Trisha Moon (Harland) of Jeffersonville and Emily Hollon (Jacob) of Mt. Sterling; brothers, Michael Evans (Mary) of Poplar Grove, Ill., Stephen Hunt (Lynn) of Kenosha, Wis. and Wayne Hunt (Stephanie) of Ackworth, Ga.; sister, Earla May Muhlenbeck (David) of Bristol, Wis.; grandchildren, Katelin Johnson (Chris), Skyler Moon (Nikki), Kylie Johnson, Austin Moon, Kayla Moon and Kayden Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Xander Johnson, Arthur Hollon and Madilynn Moon; and her chosen family, Lou Lawson of Jeffersonville, Chester Thomas of Jeffersonville, and Kayla, Andrew and Julie King of Berea.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Hunt; sister, Laura Ann Gustum; and a chosen brother, Michael Gutche.
Service was conducted Friday, March 21, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Duggins officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jacob Hollon, Harland Moon Jr., Skyler Moon, Chester Thomas, David Hollon, Tyler Gilven and Dustin Brooks.
Honorary pallbearer was Austin Moon.
