David Crockett Scott, 69, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at his residence.
Born Aug. 13, 1955, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late Weed Scott and Lucille Kirby. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from Trane as a welder after 27 years of service. He loved to read, and sports, especially the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Survivors include brothers, Albert Scott (Dianna) of Bradenton, Fla., James Harper Scott (Erika) of Lexington, Monroe Scott (Carolyn) of Mason, Ohio, Larry Scott (Julie) of Okeechobee, Fla. and Bobby Ray Scott (Frances) of Winchester; and sisters, Lorraine Baker (John) of Mt. Sterling, Rebel Hall of Indianapolis, Ind., Sadie Lee (Marion) of Eustis, Fla. and Sandra Lynn Scott of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Carl Scott, Charles Scott and Ora Scott Jr.; and a sister, Mattie Jewell Scott.
Service was conducted Friday, March 28, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Wiley officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alan Scott, Jeff Baker, Geramie Ingram, Robert Baker, Josh Scott and Joey Craver.
