Stephen Goldie, 70, of Owingsville, died Saturday, May 17, 2025, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
Born April 12, 1955, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late James Herman and Pauline Toy Goldie. He retired from Hobart Manufacturing and was the owner of Goldie’s Lawncare.
Survivors include a son, Brandon Goldie (Jessica) of Scott County; daughter, Amber Goldie of Georgetown; brothers, James H. Goldie Jr. of Stanton and Larry Goldie (Helen) of Mt. Sterling; sister, Sharon Goldie (Stanley Willoughby) of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Jordon Goldie, Jackson Goldie, Alayna Watkins, Ryan Cummins, Devon Triggs and Payton Triggs; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Teddy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Joyce Goldie; sister-in-law, Mildred Goldie; and special friend, Kathy Carpenter.
Service will be conducted at 12 noon, Thursday, May 22, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Bobby Roe officiating. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12 noon, Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Goldie, Rocky Goldie, Jeff Goldie, James Groves, Stanley Willoughby and Mike Toy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Hill, Ann Lykes, David Charles, Charlie Hiler, residents of Owingsville Heights, Greg Toy, Casey Hill, Ronnie Hill, Gary Martin, Dwayne Carpenter and Ronnie Couchman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Cancer Society.
